Competing in the women's 60kg division, Priya showcased her prowess by defeating Kazakhstan's Rimma Volossenko with a unanimous decision of 5-0. Her performance was marked by exceptional control and composure, allowing her to advance to the next round.
Next, she is set to face China's Chengyu Yang, the second seed in her category, in what is anticipated to be an exciting matchup, according to a statement from the Boxing Federation of India (BFI).
In the men's 55kg category, Jadumani engaged in a fiercely contested bout against Japan's Rui Yamaguchi, ultimately losing by a narrow 2-3 split decision.
