Sunrisers Hyderabad Triumphs

On April 13, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) achieved a remarkable victory against Rajasthan Royals (RR), effectively halting their winning streak. The standout performers were two uncapped Indian bowlers, Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain, who disrupted the formidable RR batting lineup. Hinge, in particular, delivered an outstanding performance, earning the Player of the Match title on his debut. He made history by becoming the first player to accomplish a remarkable feat in his inaugural match.

Praful Hinge Makes History Against RR

Praful Hinge kicked off the defense of a challenging 217 runs with an explosive start, claiming the wicket of the in-form Vaibhav Sooryavansh for a golden duck on just the second ball of the innings. He followed up by dismissing Dhruv Jurel and Lhuan-dre Pretorius in the same over, making him the first player ever to take three wickets in the opening over of an IPL innings. Additionally, he became the first cricketer to achieve three wickets in the very first over of their IPL career. Hinge later took the wicket of Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag, concluding his spell with impressive figures of 4/34 in four overs. He is now only the third Indian player, alongside Akash Madhwal and Sakib Hussain, to secure four wickets in their debut IPL match.
