Esha Singh clinched a silver medal in the women's 25m pistol event, while Pincky Balhara earned a bronze in the women's 78kg Kurash category, marking her second medal at the Asian Games.

Esha Singh's Silver Medal Victory

In a message shared on X, the Prime Minister praised Esha Singh for her impressive achievement in the women's 25m pistol individual event, highlighting her skill and calmness under pressure. "Congratulations to @singhesha10 on winning the Silver Medal in the Women’s 25m Pistol Individual event at the Asian Games 2026. With a great score, Esha showed immense precision and composure. Best wishes to her for many more successes ahead: PM @narendramodi," the post stated.

Pincky Balhara's Performance

PM Modi also recognized Pincky Balhara's efforts, commending her determination and resilience. He expressed hope for her continued success in future competitions. Esha's silver medal was earned after a thrilling shoot-off against China's Xiao Jiaruixian, where both competitors finished with 38 points, but Xiao ultimately secured gold after a second shoot-off. North Korea's Kim Hyon Suk took home the bronze with 34 points.

Pincky's Journey to Bronze

Pincky Balhara, who previously won a silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games, faced South Korea's Mo Sumin in the women's 78 kg semifinal. Despite her efforts, she lost the match 0-5, securing India's third medal in this discipline at the Asian Games. Throughout the match, Pincky struggled, receiving an early warning and managing only a 'chala' (half point/throw) before ultimately settling for bronze.
