Phil Foden Secures New Contract with Manchester City Until 2030
Phil Foden's New Deal with Manchester City
Manchester [UK], May 5: Phil Foden has reportedly finalized a new contract with Manchester City, extending his tenure with the club, according to sources from ESPN.
The 25-year-old midfielder, who has celebrated multiple Premier League victories with Manchester City and was part of the treble-winning team in the 2022-23 season, is expected to sign a deal that will keep him at the club until 2030, with an option for an additional year.
Previously, Foden's contract was set to run until 2027. While the specifics of the new agreement are still being finalized, insiders indicate that it is largely a formality at this stage.
Having joined Manchester City's youth setup at just four years old, Foden has made an impressive 350 appearances for the senior team.
Despite facing challenges this season, including a reduced role in the starting lineup, sources confirm that Foden has never considered leaving the prestigious English club.
He has not started a Premier League match since March and may be at risk of missing out on a spot in England's FIFA World Cup squad this year.
