Indian shooter Parth Mane has hailed his silver medal at the Asian Games 2026 as a 'special medal,' expressing immense pride in witnessing the national flag raised during the ceremony. Mane, along with teammates Rudrankksh Patil and Himanshu Dhillon, secured the silver in the men's 10m air rifle team event.

Upon their return to New Delhi, the medal-winning shooting team received a warm reception at the airport. Mane shared his thoughts on this significant milestone, stating, 'This is my first senior medal and my first at the Asian Games. It was a proud moment to see my country's flag raised.'

Looking ahead, Mane is focused on the upcoming World Championship in Doha, stating, 'My next goal is the World Championship in Doha, and I am preparing for that.' He also expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from the nation following their success.

The trio of Mane, Patil, and Dhillon achieved a score of 1890.1, finishing behind China's team, which scored 1899.0, while South Korea took home the bronze with 1841.4.

Himanshu Dhillon, who also returned with two silver medals from the Games, expressed his joy over their achievements and the strong team spirit among the shooters. He emphasized the importance of supporting one another during competitions and set his sights on future medals at the World Championships and the Olympics.

As of now, India has amassed a total of 23 medals at the Asian Games, including two gold, nine silver, and twelve bronze, with shooting contributing significantly to this tally.
