Introduction of Panipat Panthers in KCL

Panipat (Haryana) [India], December 24: The Kabaddi Champions League (KCL) has welcomed a new franchise, the Panipat Panthers, which is owned by The Shivtrinetra Group.

Under the leadership of prominent entrepreneur and motivational speaker Joginder Saini, this initiative signifies a pivotal moment in the evolution of professional kabaddi, according to a statement from KCL.

With Saini at the helm, the Panipat Panthers are being developed as a team that embodies local pride and ambition, combining experienced players with promising local talent.

“Our vision is straightforward — kabaddi is not just a sport; it’s a passion,” he stated, emphasizing that the Panthers will proudly represent the essence of Panipat.

The Shivtrinetra Group's involvement in kabaddi transcends mere business; it aims to elevate the sport, honor regional talent, and provide young athletes with a platform to showcase their skills on a national level.

The Kabaddi Champions League is evolving into a vibrant and inclusive arena for India's grassroots kabaddi talents. With the introduction of the Panipat Panthers and the enthusiastic leadership of Joginder Saini, the league is set to enhance excitement and opportunities for both players and fans.

A major player auction is scheduled for December 28, where eight franchises will compete to assemble their teams from a robust domestic talent pool, with a total player budget of Rs 4 crore.

The recent trials attracted significant interest nationwide, with over 3,500 player registrations and more than 1,500 athletes participating in the Central trials held in Sonipat. This extensive selection process has led to over 110 players being shortlisted, with the final auction pool expected to include between 200 and 250 players across various categories.

Designed to enhance the pathway from grassroots to professional kabaddi, the Kabaddi Champions League seeks to offer both emerging and established players valuable competitive exposure and career advancement opportunities.
