Nupur Kumrawat Takes Gold in Women's 50m Rifle Prone

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], May 11: Nupur Kumrawat from Madhya Pradesh has claimed the top position in the Women's 50m Rifle Prone event at the ongoing 24th Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championship held at the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy.


Nupur showcased an outstanding performance, finishing with a score of 624.3. Following her, Priya from the Army Marksmanship Unit secured the second spot with a score of 623.9. Bhakti Bhaskar Khamkar from Maharashtra took third place with 622.2. Anjum Moudgil from Punjab finished fourth with 621.7, while Lajjakumari Tilakpuri Gauswami from Gujarat came in fifth with 620.0. Kerala's Vidarsa K Vinod was sixth with 619.2, Pallavi Suthar from Gujarat was seventh with 618.9, and Ayushi Podder from Railways rounded out the top eight with 618.3.


Junior Women’s 50m Rifle Prone Results

In the Junior Women’s category, Tamil Nadu's M.A. Akschadha Aiswarya emerged victorious with a score of 618.2. Nimrat Kaur Brar from Punjab earned the silver medal with 617.7, while Madhya Pradesh's Pratha Rathod took home the bronze with 617.6. Fourth place went to Yugeshwari Bais from Madhya Pradesh with 616.6, followed by Punjab's Pranjali in fifth with 616.3. Rajasthan's Khushi Jadeja finished sixth with 616.3, NCC's Bhumi Sanjay Mahajan was seventh with 615.3, and Chandigarh's Geet secured eighth with 615.2.


Youth Women’s 50m Rifle Prone Highlights

M.A. Akschadha Aiswarya also dominated the Youth Women’s event, achieving a score of 618.2. Nimrat Kaur Brar from Punjab again finished second with 617.7, while Pratha Rathod from Madhya Pradesh took third with 617.6. Yugeshwari Bais from Madhya Pradesh was fourth with 616.6, followed by Punjab's Pranjali in fifth with 616.3. Khushi Jadeja from Rajasthan was sixth with 616.3, Bhumi Sanjay Mahajan from NCC was seventh with 615.3, and Geet from Chandigarh was eighth with 615.2.


Team and Other Results

In the 50m Rifle Prone Women Team event, Punjab clinched first place with a total score of 1856.1, featuring Anjum Moudgil, Nimrat Kaur Brar, and Sift Kaur Samra. Madhya Pradesh followed closely in second with 1853.1, represented by Nupur Kumrawat, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Ashi Chouksey. Haryana secured third place with a score of 1849.1.


In the Master Women’s category, Tejaswani Sawant from Maharashtra topped the leaderboard with 617.9, while Kuheli Gangulee from West Bengal and Anjali Bhagwat from Maharashtra finished second and third with scores of 613.7 and 608.2, respectively.


For the Deaf Women’s event, Natasha Uday Joshi from Maharashtra achieved first place with a score of 608.7, followed by Priyesha Deshmukh from Maharashtra with 601.0.
