The primary role of this committee is to propose candidates for the positions of Chairperson and two board members. These individuals must possess integrity, capability, and a solid understanding of public administration, sports governance, sports law, and related areas.
With the introduction of the National Sports Board (Search-cum-Selection Committee) Rules, 2026, the selection process for the Chairperson and Members of the National Sports Board will commence.
