Navneet Kaur's Remarkable Journey

In New Delhi, Indian hockey star Navneet Kaur recently reflected on her outstanding performance at the FIH World Cup Qualifiers, where she was honored with the Player of the Tournament title. She expressed her gratitude towards her teammates for their unwavering support and trust, which she believes played a crucial role in her success.


During the qualifiers held in Hyderabad, Navneet made headlines by scoring a hat-trick against Wales, leading India to a 4-1 victory. This win not only secured a semifinal spot for India but also guaranteed their place in the upcoming Women's Hockey World Cup. Despite their strong performance, India faced a setback in the final, losing 2-0 to England.


Emerging as the tournament's third-highest goal-scorer, Navneet was thrilled to receive the Player of the Tournament accolade. In her remarks, she emphasized that while the recognition was gratifying, it was a collective team effort that made it possible.
