Mussoorie Thunder Secures Final Spot

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], September 8: Mussoorie Thunder clinched a spot in the final of the Dehradun T20 League 2026 after a nail-biting victory over Vikasnagar Dhamaka, winning by just four runs in the first semi-final held at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy.


After opting to bat first, Mussoorie Thunder faced early challenges but found stability through a remarkable innings by captain Neeraj Singh Rathore, who scored 62 runs off 47 balls, featuring five fours and four sixes. Dikshu also made a valuable contribution with 21 runs.


On the bowling front for Vikasnagar Dhamaka, Vinay Aswal, Abhishek Singh, and Shashwat Dangwal each took two wickets, showcasing disciplined bowling. Mussoorie Thunder was ultimately bowled out for 127 runs in their allotted 20 overs.


In response, Vikasnagar Dhamaka started strong, with Rohit Danu scoring 39 and Kunal Chandela adding 36 runs, putting them in a promising position to chase down the target of 128.


However, Mussoorie Thunder's Anshul Kumar delivered a game-changing performance, taking five wickets for just 18 runs in his four overs. Despite Vikasnagar's earlier control, a sudden collapse in the final overs left them at 123/9, falling short by four runs.
