The Mumbai side began cautiously, with Amanjot Kaur and Gunalan Kamalini taking their time to establish themselves. Amanjot was the first to be dismissed, scoring 38 runs off 33 balls, which included seven boundaries. Shortly after, Kamalini fell for just 5 runs off 12 balls, leaving the team at 45/2 in 8.3 overs. They managed to reach the 50-run milestone in 9.3 overs.

For the UP Warriorz, Shikha Pandey was the standout bowler, achieving economical figures of 1/25. Deepti Sharma took 1/31, while Sophie Ecclestone and Asha Sobhana contributed with 1/26 and 1/33, respectively.
