Mohammed Siraj Voices Frustration Over Air India Flight Delay
Siraj's Disappointment with Air India Express
In Guwahati, speedster Mohammed Siraj has openly shared his dissatisfaction regarding the delay of his Air India Express flight, labeling it as the "most frustrating airline experience" due to the airline's poor communication and lack of updates.
Siraj was returning to Hyderabad after India's crushing 408-run defeat against South Africa in the second Test, which resulted in a 0-2 series loss. This defeat marks India's second consecutive clean sweep at home, following a 3-0 loss to New Zealand last year.
On Wednesday evening, Siraj expressed his frustration about the flight, which was scheduled to depart at 7:25 PM, emphasizing the airline's failure to provide timely information.
In a post on X, he stated, "Air India flight no IX 2884 from Guwahati to Hyderabad was meant to take off at 7:25, yet there has been no communication from the airline. After multiple inquiries, they have simply delayed the flight without a valid explanation. This has been incredibly frustrating, and it's a basic expectation for passengers. The flight was delayed by four hours, and we still have no updates, leaving us stranded. This is the worst airline experience. I wouldn't recommend this flight to anyone who values their time."

In response to Siraj's public complaint, Air India Express announced on Thursday that flight IX 2884 from Guwahati to Hyderabad had been cancelled due to "unforeseen operational reasons."
The airline stated, "We regret to inform you that the flight has been cancelled due to unforeseen operational reasons. Our airport team is actively assisting all guests with necessary arrangements. We understand how challenging this situation is and appreciate your patience. Rest assured, our team will keep you updated and provide all possible support," in a reply to Siraj's post on X.
