In a thrilling encounter at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, the Mohali Kings successfully chased down a daunting target of 178 runs, achieving an impressive eight-wicket victory against the Jalandhar Warriors during the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League on September 6.

The match was shortened to 14 overs per side, with the Warriors setting a competitive score of 177/7. Openers Vishwanath Singh and Prabhsimran Singh gave Jalandhar a strong start, accumulating 63 runs for the first wicket. Vishwanath scored a brisk 40 runs off 19 deliveries, while Prabhsimran contributed 37 runs off 18 balls.

Despite losing Vishwanath, the Warriors maintained their momentum, thanks to Harjas Tandon, who played a quickfire innings of 37 runs from just 16 balls, consistently finding the boundary.

Abhinav Sharma and Mayank Gupta added crucial runs towards the end, with both finishing on 16 runs, helping Jalandhar reach a total of 177/7.

For the Kings, Harpreet Brar stood out with the ball, taking 2 wickets for 24 runs in three overs.

In response, the Mohali Kings faced early setbacks, losing two wickets for just 27 runs. However, Anmolpreet Singh and Ramandeep Singh turned the game around with a phenomenal partnership.

The duo forged an incredible 154-run partnership for the third wicket, leading Mohali from a precarious position to a comfortable victory. Anmolpreet scored a solid 61 runs off 29 balls, while Ramandeep delivered a spectacular performance, remaining unbeaten with 91 runs off just 35 balls, including eight sixes and six fours.
