In another highlight, the women's 4x100m relay team, consisting of Kajal, Bhavana, Aarti, and Nipam, earned a silver medal while also setting a new junior national record during the championships held in Hong Kong on Sunday.


The women's relay team achieved a remarkable time of 45.05 seconds, while the Indian 4x400m relay team, featuring Bhumika, Tahura, Sehnoor, and Neeru, secured gold with a time of 3:38.07 seconds, establishing a new competition record.


Additionally, the men's 4x400m relay team, comprising Piyush Raj, Sayed Sabeer, Ranjith Kumar S, and Mohammed Ashfaq, brought home a bronze medal with a time of 3:05.54 seconds, also setting a new junior national record in their category.


The 22nd edition of this championship served as a qualifying event for the upcoming World U20 Athletics Championships 2026, which is set to take place at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, USA, from August 5 to 9.
