Mannat Brar's Stellar Performance in Africa
Chandigarh, India - April 23: Mannat Brar, an athlete from the Roundglass Golf Academy, emerged as the leading female competitor at the AM Green IGPL Invitational Congo, showcasing her talent at the renowned Par-73 Golf de Lubumbashi course in Africa.
As per a recent announcement, Brar faced a challenging mixed field filled with experienced professionals and demonstrated exceptional skill and consistency throughout the tournament. She concluded her performance with an impressive final round score of 5-under 68, which was played with a shotgun start.
Brar recorded back-to-back rounds of 69, followed by a 68, resulting in a remarkable total score of 13-under 206 for the tournament.
This outstanding achievement secured her a Tied-fourth position in the overall standings, placing her alongside established professionals such as Aman Raj and Tushar Pannu on the leaderboard.
She finished just three strokes behind the tournament leaders, Aryan Roopa Anand and Udayan Mane, who entered a playoff at 16-under, according to the announcement.
By finishing in the top five, Brar outperformed several notable professionals in the mixed field, including Kartik Sharma and Manav Shah, who ended up tied for seventh.
The AM Green Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) marks India's inaugural professional golf tour that allows both men and women to compete in the same events, fostering an inclusive and competitive atmosphere.
Brar's achievements highlight the success of the elite player development pathway at the Roundglass Golf Academy.
