Maddy Green's Impactful Performance

In a remarkable display during the final match of the ICC Women’s Championship series against Zimbabwe, New Zealand's Maddy Green scored an impressive 94 runs. This performance has significantly boosted her position in the ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings.


The 33-year-old's 73-ball innings in Dunedin was instrumental in securing a commanding 200-run victory for her team, completing a clean sweep of the series with a 3-0 record. As a result, she climbed five spots to reach 17th place among batters, achieving a career-high rating of 610 points, as reported by the ICC.


Amelia Kerr, an all-rounder who was named Player of the Match for her outstanding performance of 80 runs and five wickets for 22 runs, also earned the Player of the Series title. She advanced from 21st to a joint-19th position among batters, achieving over 600 rating points in both batting and bowling categories.


Additionally, Isabelle Gaze moved up three places to 61st in the batting rankings, while seam bowlers Rosemary Mair and Bree Illing made strides in the bowling rankings, climbing to 58th and 79th positions, respectively.


On the Zimbabwean side, captain Nomvelo Sibanda improved her ranking by eight spots to 49th among bowlers. Her teammates Precious Marange and Adel Zimunu also saw advancements, moving to 93rd and 97th positions, respectively, in the latest update reflecting performances up to Monday.


In the ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings, Amelia Kerr achieved a career-best rating of 694 points after scoring 78 runs off 44 balls in the first T20I against South Africa in Mount Maunganui, maintaining her eighth position in the bowling rankings. Georgia Plimmer's contribution of 63 runs helped her rise from 50th to 41st place, aiding New Zealand in their 90-run victory.


In T20I bowling, Jess Kerr's impressive figures of two wickets for 13 runs propelled her up 11 spots to 23rd, while Sophie Devine's best-ever performance of four wickets for 12 runs lifted her from 104th to 79th position.
