Ludhiana Lions Secure Victory in T20 League

In a thrilling encounter at the I.S. Bindra Stadium in Mohali, the Ludhiana Lions achieved a remarkable six-wicket victory against the Fazilka Falcons during the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League on September 9. The Lions successfully chased down a formidable target of 201 runs, thanks to impressive half-centuries from Bikramjeet Singh and Salil Arora.


The Fazilka Falcons set a challenging score of 200 runs for the loss of three wickets in their 20 overs, showcasing a strong batting performance. Despite losing Vihaan Malhotra early in the innings, Anshul Chaudhary and Pranshu Pratap stabilized the innings with an impressive 86-run partnership.


Pranshu contributed significantly with a half-century before being dismissed, while Anshul continued to build momentum, scoring 65 runs off 47 balls before retiring out, which laid a solid foundation for a strong finish.


Sanvir Singh provided a late surge for the Falcons, delivering an explosive performance with an unbeaten 59 runs off just 28 balls, including five sixes, which propelled Fazilka to their 200-run total.


For the Ludhiana Lions, Kartik Chadha stood out as the most economical bowler, conceding only 19 runs in his four overs without taking a wicket, effectively keeping the Falcons in check.


In their chase for 201, the Lions faced an early setback with the loss of Abhijeet Garg. However, Bikramjeet Singh and Salil Arora quickly steadied the innings, forming a crucial 114-run partnership that put Ludhiana in a commanding position.


Bikramjeet scored 58 runs off 35 balls before his dismissal, while Salil continued to dominate the bowling attack, finishing with an aggressive 78 runs off just 38 deliveries, ensuring Ludhiana maintained a healthy run rate.


As the Lions approached victory, Arjun Rajput and Karteek Sharma contributed to the chase, with Karteek scoring 15 runs off 10 balls before being dismissed. Arjun remained not out at 35 runs off 18 balls, leading the Ludhiana Lions to a confident six-wicket win, successfully chasing down the target with ease.
