Messi's Memorable Encounters in Delhi

During the final phase of his GOAT India tour, Lionel Messi had the opportunity to meet Indian cricketer Kuldeep Yadav and Paralympic gold medalist Sumit Antil in New Delhi. The Argentine football icon donned the jersey of the Indian cricket team while posing for a photo with Antil.


Sumit Antil shared an Instagram story featuring himself alongside Messi, who was proudly wearing the Team India T20 cricket jersey.


A video shared by the Delhi Capitals, an IPL franchise, showcased Kuldeep Yadav engaging in conversation with the football superstar.


Messi's tour, which included stops in Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, reached Delhi on December 15, where he was accompanied by fellow footballers Rodrigo De Paul and Luis Suarez.


In a special ceremony at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, ICC Chairman Jay Shah presented jerseys of the Indian cricket team to Messi, De Paul, and Suarez. Messi received a customized jersey with the number 10, while Suarez and De Paul were given jerseys with numbers 9 and 7, respectively.


During his visit, Messi also met with Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Rohan Jaitley, the President of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA). Shah extended an invitation to Messi for the upcoming T20 World Cup, presenting him with a ticket that marked a memorable moment of the tour.


After concluding his visit in Delhi, Messi traveled to Jamnagar, Gujarat, where he explored Vantara, a wildlife conservation and rehabilitation center established by Anant Ambani. He departed from Jamnagar on Tuesday.
