FC Barcelona has announced that Lamine Yamal has sustained a hamstring injury in his left leg, specifically affecting the biceps femoris muscle, which will prevent him from participating for the remainder of the season. The club confirmed that he will undergo conservative treatment and is hopeful for a return in time for the FIFA World Cup.

The 18-year-old winger underwent medical evaluations at the club's training facility on Thursday following his injury, which occurred after he successfully converted a penalty during Wednesday's 1-0 victory over Celta Vigo at Spotify Camp Nou.

In a statement shared on X, the club detailed that the medical assessments indicated damage to the biceps femoris muscle and that Yamal would adhere to a conservative treatment regimen.

FC Barcelona stated, "The tests carried out have confirmed that first-team player Lamine Yamal has a hamstring injury in his left leg (biceps femoris muscle). The player will follow a conservative treatment plan. Lamine Yamal will miss the remainder of the season, and he is expected to be available for the World Cup."

Yamal, who has been instrumental in Barcelona's attacking lineup this season, will now concentrate on his recovery with the aim of regaining full fitness before the World Cup.
