In the men's individual recurve event, Indian archer Neeraj Chauhan secured a bronze medal after a close contest with fellow Indian Dhiraj Bommadevara. Chauhan expressed his pride in representing India and set his sights on winning Olympic gold, acknowledging that it will require even more effort.

"Words cannot express the joy I felt; bringing glory to the Indian Tricolour was incredible. Winning Olympic gold is my next goal, and it demands double the effort. I dedicate this medal to India," Chauhan remarked.
