Fakhar Zaman Faces Disciplinary Action
In related news, reports from a local media outlet indicate that Fakhar Zaman has been found guilty of violating the PCB's code of conduct. He faces a Level 3 charge under Article 2.14 for allegedly breaching Article 41.3, which forbids actions that change the ball's condition. Zaman could face significant penalties and potential match suspensions, with a decision expected from the match referee in the coming days. The PCB stated, 'Fakhar denied the allegations during a disciplinary hearing led by match referee Roshan Mahanama.' Another hearing is scheduled within 48 hours, after which the referee will announce his ruling. Meanwhile, Qalandars' captain Shaheen Afridi opted not to comment emotionally, stating he would review the footage to determine if there was any intentional wrongdoing. 'I don’t know about this, and we’ll see if it’s there in the camera and discuss it,' he remarked during the post-match presentation.
