Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India] - On September 8, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports introduced the Viksit Bharat Quiz, marking the initial phase of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027.

Quiz Details and Eligibility
This quiz is accessible to all young Indians aged between 15 and 29 years as of August 17, 2026. It is being conducted online in various languages via the MY Bharat portal (mybharat.gov.in) from August 17 to September 30, 2026.
Structure of VBYLD 2027
The VBYLD 2027 consists of a structured, merit-based five-stage process, starting with the Viksit Bharat Quiz and advancing through the Essay Challenge, District Championship, State/UT VBYLD, and culminating in the National VBYLD.
National Dialogue and Themes
The program will conclude with a National Dialogue in New Delhi from January 10 to 12, 2027, coinciding with National Youth Day. It will encompass six major tracks: Viksit Bharat Challenge, Cultural Track, Design for Bharat, Hack for Social Cause, Youth Entrepreneurs Challenge, and Youth Parliament.
Regional Focus for Karnataka
Karnataka is categorized under the Southern Gateway: Technology & Innovation Region, alongside Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, emphasizing technology, innovation, and future readiness.
Advancing Through the Stages
The top 10% of quiz participants, amounting to up to 400,000 youth, will progress to a 500-word Essay Challenge, followed by in-person District and State championships. Regional finalists at the National VBYLD will have the chance to present their ideas directly to the Prime Minister.
Empowering Youth for Nation-Building
The VBYLD 2027 aims to empower young Indians from non-political backgrounds to engage in public life and contribute to nation-building. It seeks to identify and nurture youth aspiring to realize the vision of 'Viksit Bharat @2047' while fostering national integration by uniting youth voices from various States and Union Territories.
Showcasing Leadership and Innovation
This initiative will highlight youth leadership, innovation, and talent across governance, technology, culture, entrepreneurship, and design, establishing a transparent, merit-based pathway from the district level to a national dialogue with policymakers and the Prime Minister.
How to Participate
Young Indians can join the Viksit Bharat Quiz by visiting the MY Bharat portal and clicking on the VBYLD 2027 pop-up. They should select 'Participate in Quiz', read the instructions, and click 'Start Quiz'. New users must complete their MY Bharat registration before logging in.
Participants need to verify their details, enter a referral code if available, choose their preferred language, attempt and submit the quiz, and provide feedback. After completing the quiz, participants can download their Certificate of Participation.
