On the women's side, Aadhya Tiwari faced a tough challenge, losing her singles match 1-4 to Thailand's Alisha Ziegler. The match concluded with scores of 4-1, 0-4, 0-4, 2-4, and 4-6.

To advance to the quarterfinals, Aadhya must secure a win against Pakistan's Kainaat Shallwani and hope that Kainaat defeats Ziegler in their upcoming match.

In sepaktakraw, India's men's team faced a setback, losing their second Group B match against Malaysia with a score of 0-2. They will have one last chance to redeem themselves against the Philippines on Wednesday.
