Bumrah's Workload Management Ahead of IPL
New Delhi, March 25: Jasprit Bumrah, the star fast bowler for India and the Mumbai Indians (MI), has arrived at the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru for workload management as he gears up for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season, as reported by a leading sports news outlet.
Sources indicate that the right-arm pacer is focusing on his strength and conditioning during his time at the CoE.
The BCCI medical team has devised a specific plan for Bumrah, with an eye on India's white-ball series in England scheduled for July.
He is expected to rejoin the Mumbai Indians before their first match against the Kolkata Knight Riders on March 29.
During the England tour, India will compete in five T20 internationals and three One Day Internationals.
Bumrah played a pivotal role in India's successful defense of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup on home soil, a feat never accomplished before.
In the final against New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, he delivered an outstanding performance, taking four wickets for just 15 runs, leading India to a 96-run victory.
His exceptional bowling earned him the Player of the Match title.
At 32, Bumrah was among the top wicket-takers in the T20 World Cup, alongside his teammate Varun Chakaravarthy, claiming 14 wickets across eight matches with an impressive average of 12.24, which included a four-wicket haul.
