London [UK], July 13: Jannik Sinner, currently ranked as the world's top player, has reached a significant career milestone by securing his 100th Grand Slam match victory. He accomplished this feat by defeating Alexander Zverev, successfully defending his title in the men's singles at Wimbledon.

This victory places Sinner among an elite group of active male players who have also achieved 100 Grand Slam wins, including notable names like Novak Djokovic, Stan Wawrinka, Marin Cilic, Alexander Zverev, Gael Monfils, Kei Nishikori, and Grigor Dimitrov.

At just 24 years old, Sinner holds an impressive 100-22 win-loss record in Grand Slam tournaments, translating to a remarkable win percentage exceeding 82%. His performance in major tournaments has been particularly noteworthy.

Since his 39th Grand Slam win at the 2024 Australian Open, Sinner has amassed an outstanding 62-6 record in these prestigious events. His only losses during this period have been to top competitors such as Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Novak Djokovic, and Juan Manuel Cerundolo.

Among active players with 100 or more Grand Slam victories, only Djokovic has a higher winning percentage than Sinner.

Sinner's journey in Grand Slam matches began with his first victory at the 2020 Australian Open against Max Purcell. Earlier this year at Wimbledon, he also set a record for the most Grand Slam singles match wins by an Italian player, surpassing the previous record with his 95th win against Nuno Borges in the second round.

He has particularly excelled against American player Ben Shelton, achieving four victories over him in Grand Slam matches at both Wimbledon and the Australian Open in recent years.
