Jamshedpur Steelers Clinch Semifinal Berth

Ranchi [Jharkhand], June 21: The Jamshedpur Steelers have officially booked their place in the semifinals of the Jharkhand T20 Cricket League 2026 after a convincing 31-run victory over the Dhanbad Diamonds, utilizing the VJD Method at the JSCA International Stadium Complex.


Batting first, the Steelers set a challenging target, scoring 220 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their 20 overs. MD Kounain Quraishi was the standout performer, finishing not out on 68 from just 31 deliveries. He received valuable contributions from Niteen Kumar Pandey, who scored 34 runs off 21 balls, and Kumar Deobrat, who added 31 runs from 27 balls.


On the bowling front for the Dhanbad Diamonds, Shamshad Ahmad was the most effective, taking 2 wickets for 48 runs in his 4 overs. Atul Singh Surwar and Sushant Mishra also claimed a wicket each, with figures of 1/26 and 1/37, respectively.


Due to a rain interruption, the Dhanbad Diamonds faced a revised target of 185 runs in 16 overs. Unfortunately, they fell short, managing only 153 runs for 8 wickets.
