Jaismine Lamboria, the reigning World champion and a two-time medalist, will proudly carry the Indian flag during the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games this Sunday.

At just 24 years old, the boxer clinched a gold medal in the 57kg category, complementing her bronze medal from the 2022 Birmingham Games.

Recognized as one of India's most reliable boxers in recent history, Jaismine secured the world championship title last year in Liverpool and followed it up with a silver medal at the Asian Championships earlier this year.

Looking ahead, India is set to host the next Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad in 2030.

The ceremonial handover of the Commonwealth Games to India will take place during the closing ceremony at the Hydro in Glasgow.
