Tonk (Rajasthan) [India], June 25: Jai Mundra, hailing from the Tonk district of Rajasthan, has achieved a significant milestone by being selected for the Ireland cricket team for the upcoming T20I series against India, a moment of immense pride for his family and community.

The 28-year-old cricketer relocated to Ireland in 2021 on a student visa to pursue an M Tech degree. While studying, he continued to play cricket and worked in the country. In 2025, he became an Irish citizen and has now secured a position in the national team.

His younger sister, Mansi, expressed her joy, stating, “I am thrilled that my brother's dream has come true... He has been passionate about cricket since he was a child... I spoke with him, and our family is overjoyed.”
