Cricket Ireland Announces Busy Schedule for Men’s and Women’s Teams

Dublin [Ireland], March 21: Cricket Ireland has revealed an extensive home schedule for both its men's and women's teams, featuring two T20 International matches against India in June.


This summer promises to be action-packed for the Irish teams, as Cricket Ireland has laid out a series of fixtures that highlight a significant year filled with major competitions.


The season will kick off with a Test match against the 2021 ICC World Test Champions, New Zealand, taking place in Belfast from May 27 to 30, according to ICC.


Following this, Ireland will engage in a two-match T20I series against India scheduled for June 26 and 28.


From August 5 to 14, Ireland will host Afghanistan for a five-match ODI series.


On the women's side, the team is preparing for the fourth edition of the ICC Women’s Championship. As part of this cycle, Ireland will welcome India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and West Indies, while also touring England, Australia, Zimbabwe, and Sri Lanka.


The women's schedule will commence with a home series against the West Indies in July, followed by away matches in England in September and Zimbabwe in early 2027.


Additionally, Ireland will participate in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales starting June 12, where they are placed in Group B alongside England, defending champions New Zealand, Scotland, Sri Lanka, and West Indies.


To prepare for this prestigious event, Ireland will host a tri-series featuring West Indies and Pakistan beginning May 28.
