Upcoming Indian Sport Management Conference Announced

Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], December 16: Jio Institute, in partnership with the Indian Sport Management Association (INSMA), has unveiled plans for the second edition of the Indian Sport Management Conference (INSMA 2025), scheduled for December 19, 2025, at the Jio Institute campus in Navi Mumbai.


This conference is recognized as a unique event in India, designed to serve as a national forum for discussions, research, and collaboration in the field of sport management. It aims to unite academia, industry leaders, policymakers, athletes, and international experts, aligning with India's goal of hosting the 2036 Olympic Games, as stated in a release from Jio Institute.


The theme for this year's event, "Olympic Vision 2036: Converging India’s Aspirations, Capabilities and Competencies for a Global Sporting Stage," embodies India's long-term ambition to host and excel in the 2036 Olympic Games. The conference will align with the National Sports Policy 2025 and Vision 2036, focusing on how talent development, digital innovation, sports science, entrepreneurship, and policy reforms can enhance India's sporting prowess.


INSMA 2025 will include keynote speeches, panel discussions, and more than 25 presentations of research papers, aimed at connecting academic research with practical applications. Key topics will cover high-performance excellence, grassroots engagement, sports technology and innovation, inclusivity and social impact, sustainable sports economies, and governance frameworks.


The event will feature a prestigious lineup of speakers and panelists, including senior policymakers, sports administrators, Olympic and elite athletes, industry leaders, and academic experts from both India and abroad.


Notable speakers include Vita Dani, Co-Owner of Chennaiyin FC and Promoter of Dani Sports Foundation; Col N.S. Johal, CEO of TOPS, SAI; Narendra Modi, GM of Planning & Coordination at Gujarat Sports Infrastructure Development (GSID); Adille Sumariwalla, Ex-Olympian and Council Member & VP of World Athletics; Divyanshu Singh, CEO of JSW Sports; Kamila Swart-Arries, Associate Professor & Director at HBKU Qatar; Prof Simon Shibli, Professor of Sport Management at Loughborough University; and Murugesh Kumar SK, Founder & CEO of ATIUM Sports, among others.
