Indore Pink Panthers Announce Their Squad
Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India] May 28: The Indore Pink Panthers have officially announced their lineup for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup. Notably, the team includes all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer, whose impressive performance in the current IPL season is expected to enhance the Panthers' batting strength.
Sandeep Jain, the director of Indore Pink Panthers, which is part of the Moira Group, expressed confidence in the team, stating, “We have created a squad that balances seasoned players with promising young talent. The energy and confidence within the group are palpable, and we aim to play an exciting style of cricket this season. The MPL has become a vital platform for players to demonstrate their skills and has significantly contributed to identifying new talent from Madhya Pradesh.”
The Panthers will kick off their tournament journey against the Bhopal Leopards on June 4, with the match scheduled for the evening at Holkar Stadium.
The MPL T20 Scindia Cup 2026 is set to commence on June 3, featuring the Gwalior Cheetahs facing off against the Ujjain Falcons in the inaugural match at Holkar Stadium in Indore.
This edition of the MPL is poised to be the largest yet, showcasing 10 men's teams and five women's franchises.
Three new teams have been added to the men's tournament: Malwa Stallions, Ujjain Falcons, and Royal Nimar Eagles, joining the defending champions Bhopal Leopards, along with Bundelkhand Bulls, Chambal Ghariyals, Gwalior Cheetahs, Indore Pink Panthers, Jabalpur Royal Lions, and Rewa Jaguars.
The women's segment has also expanded, with Gwalior Shernis and Royal Nimar Eagles entering the competition, set to compete against Bhopal Wolves, Bundelkhand Bulls, and Chambal Ghariyals in a five-team format.
