On the third day of the opening Test match against Sri Lanka, India was bowled out for a total of 462 runs in their first innings on Monday.

Devdutt Padikkal emerged as the standout performer for India, scoring an impressive 167 runs, which concluded on Sunday.

Resuming their innings at 460 for nine, India could only add two more runs before the last wicket fell, with Prasidh Krishna being dismissed by Asitha Fernando.

For Sri Lanka, Prabath Jayasuriya was the leading bowler, achieving figures of 4 wickets for 109 runs. Keshara Nuwantha contributed with 3 wickets for 175 runs, while Fernando took 2 wickets for 63 runs.
