Indian Women's Team to Compete in FIFA Series 2026

The Indian senior women's football team is gearing up to participate in the FIFA Series 2026 in Kenya during the upcoming April FIFA International Women's Match Window.


As per the announcement, the Blue Tigresses will take on the host nation, Kenya, in the semi-final scheduled for April 11 at 20:30 IST. Earlier that day, Australia will face Malawi in the other semi-final at 16:30 IST. The winners and losers of these matches will meet in the final and third-place play-off on April 15.


In the event of a draw, matches will proceed directly to penalty shootouts without any extra time. All games will be held at the Nyayo National Stadium located in Nairobi.


Among the four competing teams, India holds the second-highest position in the FIFA world rankings at 67th. Australia is ranked 15th, while the African teams, Kenya and Malawi, are positioned at 133rd and 153rd, respectively.


Initiated in 2024, the FIFA Series is an international friendly tournament that brings together national teams from various confederations. Its aim is to promote meaningful friendly matches between teams that typically do not face each other.
