Indian U17 Football Team Set for Friendly Matches in Qatar Ahead of AFC U17 Asian Cup

Upcoming Friendlies for Indian U17 Team

The Indian U17 men's football team is scheduled to compete in two friendly matches against Qatar on April 25 and April 28, taking place in Doha, Qatar.

These matches will serve as the final preparation for the team ahead of the AFC U17 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia 2026 and will be held behind closed doors. Both games are set to kick off at 21:30 IST, as per the announcement from the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

Currently, the Blue Colts are in Thailand, where they are playing two friendly matches against the United Arab Emirates, having secured a 1-0 victory in the first match on Friday.

Following their second match on Tuesday, coach Bibiano Fernandes' squad will head to Doha on April 22. They are expected to travel from Doha to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on April 30. In the AFC U17 Asian Cup, India will face Australia on May 6, Uzbekistan on May 10, and DPR Korea on May 13 in Group D.

The full 24-member squad of the Blue Colts will make the trip to Doha, with the final 23-member lineup for the Asian Cup to be revealed closer to the event.
