Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], October 10: Indian cue sports athletes Dhvaj Haria, Anupama Ramachandran, and Revanna Umadevi have successfully reached the finals on the third day of the Commonwealth Cue Sports Championships 2026, held at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex in Ahmedabad.


Haria has made it to the Men's Snooker final, while Ramachandran and Umadevi will compete in an all-Indian final for Women's English Billiards. Numerous other Indian competitors are still in the running, continuing their efforts as the Championships move towards the medal matches scheduled for Saturday, as reported by the Commonwealth Cue Sports Championships.


In the Men's Snooker category, Dhvaj Haria showcased an outstanding performance, defeating Darren Morgan from Wales with a score of 3-1 in the quarter-finals. He then triumphed over fellow Indian Laxman Singh Rawat, again with a score of 3-1, to secure his spot in the final. Rawat had previously advanced by winning 3-0 against England's Craig MacGillivray. Aditya Mehta also made it to the semi-finals after a convincing 3-0 victory over Ross Vallance from England.


In Women's Snooker, Ishika Shah achieved a 3-0 victory against fellow Indian Snenthra Babu in the quarter-finals, while Shruthi Lakshminarayanan also won 3-0 against Canada's Simone Lloyd. Keerthana Pandian progressed with a 3-0 win over England's Gillian Hayes. Unfortunately, Shah's journey ended in the semi-finals when she lost 0-3 to England's Rebecca Kenna.


India's dominance continued in English Billiards, with Anupama Ramachandran and Revanna Umadevi both advancing to the Women's final. In Men's Heyball, Paras Gupta achieved a 9-3 victory over Scotland's Craig Brown in the second round, while Uzair Khan defeated Malaysia's Tan Zhong Wei 7-4 to move forward. However, Shivam Arora faced a setback, losing 2-9 to South Africa's Jason Theron. In another second-round match, Malaysia's Mohd Hassan overcame South Africa's Kurshan Moodley with a score of 9-2.


In Men's 10-Ball Pool, Divya Sharma continued his strong performance with a 9-6 win over fellow Indian Kushal Chandrashekar in the second round. Earlier, Sharma had narrowly defeated Canada's Darcy McGinley 9-8. Lalrina Renthlei also recorded a 9-3 victory against Kelly Yambi but was eliminated in the next round by England's Mark Foster, losing 5-7.


In Women's Blackball, Gianna Rego lost 1-5 to England's Emma Cunningham in the second round. Cunningham then advanced to the final after defeating South Africa's Prudence Nkosi 5-1, while Spain's Naiga Rukia secured her final spot with a 5-2 victory over Australia's Kolbe Poole.
