“Hearing that we would compete against Panama, Uruguay, and Brazil felt like a monumental opportunity. We have never faced teams of this caliber before, making it a significant moment for all Indian players. He recalls India's successful SAFF Championship run at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium and their qualification for the AFC Asian Cup 2023 in Kolkata. “I have great memories of Kanteerava from the SAFF Championship, and qualifying for the Asian Cup in Kolkata was special. While pressure exists, I see it as our strength, as both Bengaluru and Kolkata are passionate about football. The support from fans is a significant advantage for us,” Mishra stated.
“The teams we are up against are of high quality, but ultimately, it’s still eleven against eleven. We must execute the coach's tactics on the field and give our utmost effort,” he continued.
