Exciting Day Ahead for Indian Athletes

On September 22, Indian athletes will showcase their talents in various sports at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. The day promises thrilling moments, particularly with the women's cricket final, badminton quarter-finals, and shooting competitions taking center stage.


The Indian women's cricket team is set to clash with Sri Lanka in the final match at Korogi Athletic Park, kicking off at 2:00 PM JST (10:30 AM IST).


In badminton, the women's team, including stars like PV Sindhu, Unnati Hooda, and Devika Sihag, will compete against the host nation Japan in the quarter-finals at Ichinomiya City Municipal Gymnasium, starting at 9:30 AM JST (6:00 AM IST).


Later in the day, the men's badminton team, featuring Lakshya Sen and HS Prannoy, will also face Japan in their quarter-final match, scheduled for 3:00 PM JST (11:30 AM IST).


Shooting events will be another highlight, with Parth Rakesh Mane and Elavenil Valarivan participating in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team qualification at 9:45 AM JST (6:15 AM IST), followed by the finals at 11:55 AM JST (8:25 AM IST).


Additionally, Indian shooters will compete in the Skeet events, with Anantjeet Singh Naruka and others in the men's qualification rounds, while Parinaaz Dhaliwal and her teammates will represent in the women's skeet qualifications.
