India Women Gear Up for ODI Series in Australia

Brisbane [Australia], February 23: Amol Muzumdar, the head coach of the India Women’s cricket team, shared his enthusiasm and confidence as the team readies for the first ODI in a three-match series against Australia Women. He emphasized the significance of this series, especially following India's remarkable victory in the ODI World Cup.

During a pre-match press conference held before the series opener on Tuesday, Muzumdar spoke about the team's determination and aspirations. He stated, “Absolutely, that’s what players strive for. Our coaching staff is dedicated to guiding them. Our ultimate goal is to become world champions. This series is particularly crucial as it is our first after the World Cup win, and there’s no better venue than Australia to showcase our skills.”

This ODI series represents the first international challenge for the Women in Blue since their World Cup success, with high hopes as they face the Australian team on their home turf.

Muzumdar also mentioned a special tribute for the players, revealing, “The girls have decided to wear a star on their jerseys to commemorate their achievement starting from tomorrow.”

He further stressed the significance of arriving early to acclimatize before the ODI series against Australia Women.
