India U17 Men's Team Set for Friendly Matches Against UAE in Thailand

Upcoming Friendlies for India U17 Team

The Indian U17 men's football team is scheduled to compete in two friendly matches against the United Arab Emirates on April 17 and April 21, taking place in Samut Prakan, Thailand.

These matches are part of the preparations for the AFC U17 Asian Cup, which will be held in Saudi Arabia in 2026. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has confirmed that the games will be conducted behind closed doors.

Both encounters are set to commence at 16:30 IST at the Windmill Football Club, located near Bangkok. The 24-member squad, known as the Blue Colts, arrived in Thailand on April 15.

Previously, under the guidance of coach Bibiano Fernandes, the team played three friendly matches in Lopburi, Thailand, where they drew with Thailand (2-2), secured a victory against Indonesia (3-0), and faced a narrow defeat to the Republic of Korea (1-2). Following these matches, the Blue Colts returned to Kolkata for further training.

In the upcoming AFC U17 Asian Cup in Jeddah, India will face Australia on May 6, Uzbekistan on May 10, and DPR Korea on May 13, competing in Group D.
