India concluded the 22nd Asian U20 Athletics Championships with an outstanding performance, securing 10 gold medals and finishing second in the overall medal tally. The event saw remarkable achievements, including record-breaking runs in the 4x400m relays and individual golds in various events. India's Stellar Performance at the Championships

On the concluding day of the 22nd Asian U20 Athletics Championships, India secured three additional gold medals, finishing an impressive second in the overall medal standings. The event took place over four days, culminating in India achieving a total of 19 medals, comprising 10 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze. They trailed only behind China, which topped the chart with 14 golds, 9 silvers, and 2 bronzes, while Japan rounded out the top three with 18 medals, including 5 golds.


On the final day, India added two silver medals and one bronze to their tally.

The Indian women's 4x400m relay team, led by Neeru Pathak, achieved gold with a remarkable time of 3 minutes and 38.07 seconds, surpassing the previous meet record. The team included Bhumika Sanjay Nehate, Tahura Khatun, and Sehnoor Bawa, breaking the former record of 3:38.20 set by Japan in 2018.


In the men's 4x400m relay, all three medal-winning teams surpassed the previous record of 3:07.38 established by Japan in 1999. China claimed gold with a time of 3:04.88, while Qatar secured silver at 3:05.06. The Indian men's team finished third, also breaking the record with a time of 3:05.54, consisting of Piyush Raj, Sayed Sabeer Sayed Sabeer, Ranjith Kumar S, and Mohammed Ashfaq.


Earlier in the day, Muskan kicked off the medal rush by winning gold in the women's 5,000m with a time of 16:53.08. Venkatram Reddy Mogali followed suit, clinching gold in the men's 800m with a personal best of 1:48.27 seconds. Discus thrower Nishchay narrowly missed out on gold, earning silver with a personal best throw of 60.10m. The women's 4x100m relay team also secured silver, clocking 45.05 seconds, with members Kajal Hirabhai Vaja, Bhavana G, Aarti, and Nipam.
