On June 1, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his congratulations to the Indian team for their remarkable achievements at the 22nd Asian U20 Athletics Championships.
The Indian contingent secured a total of 19 medals, which included an impressive 10 gold medals.
Modi highlighted that this success showcases the dedication and talent of India's youth in athletics.

India concluded the championships with a total of 19 medals, finishing second overall, just behind China.
This achievement marks India's best performance at this continental event held outside its home country.
The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) celebrated this success on X, stating, "A Performance of Pure Statement. 10 Gold, 5 Silver, 4 Bronze. 19 medals. 2nd overall. A championship to remember for Team India at the Asian U20 Athletics Championships."
