The Indian men's badminton team also made headlines by defeating the host nation Japan with a commanding 3-0 scoreline, ensuring their place in the semifinals and at least a bronze medal. Lakshya Sen, after a challenging start, turned the match around against world No. 7 Kodai Naraoka, showcasing resilience and skill.

Following Sen's victory, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty secured another win, further solidifying India's position in the tournament.

While the Indian contingent celebrated successes, they also faced challenges in other events. The women's badminton team was eliminated in the quarterfinals after a 1-3 defeat to Japan, despite a strong start from PV Sindhu. In shooting and table tennis, results were mixed, but the boxing team continued to shine with notable victories.

Gymnast Pranati Nayak qualified for the vault final, adding to the excitement of the Indian team's performance at the Games.

Dominance in Men's Hockey

The men's hockey team continued its impressive form, overpowering Sri Lanka with a staggering 16-1 victory in their Pool A match. Jugraj Singh led the scoring with four goals, while teammates Abhishek Singh and Dilpreet Singh also contributed significantly.

Roshibina Devi's Continued Success

In martial arts, Roshibina Devi Naorem secured her place in the semifinals of the women's Sanda 60kg category, ensuring her third consecutive medal at the Asian Games.
