India Secures Historic Test Victory Over England at Edgbaston

India's Remarkable Win at Edgbaston
In a stunning display, Akash Deep claimed six wickets, leading India to a commanding 336-run victory against England, thereby leveling the series at 1-1 on Sunday. This win marked India's first-ever test triumph at Edgbaston, where they had previously faced defeat in all eight encounters, including a significant loss three years ago when England achieved their highest successful chase of 378 runs.
Confronted with the monumental task of chasing down 608 runs, England faltered as Deep dismantled their batting lineup, achieving his first test five-wicket haul with impressive figures of 6-99, totaling 10 wickets in the match.
After resuming at 153-6 post-lunch, Jamie Smith managed to score a half-century but fell short of a century, dismissed for 88 while attempting to hit a third consecutive six. He became Deep's fifth wicket when caught at deep backward square.
Brydon Carse added some excitement with his aggressive batting, scoring 38 runs before becoming the last wicket to fall, caught by India's captain Shubman Gill off Deep's bowling, thus sealing a memorable victory for the team.
