He expressed confidence that if the Men in Blue maintain their current form, they will be unstoppable in their quest for the World Cup title.
In a thrilling match, the defending champions India, under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, triumphed over England by a narrow margin of seven runs, securing their spot in the T20 World Cup final against New Zealand.
In an interview, Saikia highlighted the team's collective effort, stating that their consistent performance would make it challenging for any opponent to defeat them. He specifically acknowledged the significant contributions from players like Axar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah, expressing optimism about India's chances of winning the tournament.
"If the team continues to perform like this, no one can stop India from winning. We are hopeful for a victory. Axar, Bumrah, and the entire team played exceptionally well, leading to this impressive win," he remarked.
Batting first, India posted a formidable total of 253/7 in 20 overs, thanks to a spectacular innings from Sanju Samson, who scored 89 runs off 42 balls, including eight fours and seven sixes. Following Bumrah's performance, Hardik Pandya further applied pressure with a brilliant penultimate over, conceding just nine runs and taking the wicket of Sam Curran.
