Salman Agha Faces ICC Reprimand

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has issued a reprimand to Pakistani cricketer Salman Agha following his reaction to a disputed run-out during the second One-Day International against Bangladesh in Dhaka on Friday.

While positioned at the non-striker's end, Agha bent down to retrieve the ball to return it to a Bangladeshi bowler after his teammate Mohammad Rizwan had hit it towards him.

In a surprising turn, Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz moved behind Agha to grab the ball and swiftly broke the stumps, igniting discussions about sportsmanship.

Frustrated by the dismissal, Agha reacted by throwing his gloves and helmet, which led to him receiving a demerit point from the ICC.

According to the ICC's statement, Agha violated a Code of Conduct clause concerning the misuse of equipment or clothing during an international match.

After the game, Mehidy explained that he anticipated Agha might attempt a run, stating, 'He was away from the wicket and I was just looking for the ball. If you miss, he would go for the run. So I was just thinking like that.'

Pakistan emerged victorious in the match, winning by 128 runs, thus leveling the series at 1-1, with the final match set to take place later on Sunday.
