Dhaka, Bangladesh - On March 13, reports emerged that Pakistan's all-rounder Hussain Talat suffered a left shoulder injury and was subsequently transported to a medical facility, as per updates from a sports news outlet.

The incident occurred during the second ODI of the three-match series between Bangladesh and Pakistan at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. Talat was injured while attempting to prevent a boundary.

During the sixth over of the second innings, Talat dashed towards the cover boundary after Litton Das hit a delivery from Mohammad Wasim through the cover point. In his effort to retrieve the ball, he stepped onto the foam padding and collided with the advertising boards, landing heavily on his left shoulder, which caused him significant pain.

Teammates and medical staff rushed to assist him, and a stretcher was soon brought in to transport him to an ambulance.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a statement confirming that Talat received prompt medical attention from the team's medical personnel on the field before being taken to the hospital for further assessment. They noted that the specifics of the injury would be clarified following a comprehensive medical evaluation.

According to the PCB's announcement, "Talat received immediate medical attention from the team’s medical staff on the field. Following the initial assessment, he has been taken to a hospital for a detailed examination. The nature and extent of the injury will be determined after the doctors complete further medical evaluation."

In terms of the match, Pakistan batted first after being put in by Bangladesh, finishing with a score of 274 all out in 47.3 overs, thanks to notable contributions from Maaz Sadaqat (75), Salman Agha (64), and Mohammad Rizwan (44).

In response, Bangladesh struggled early, finding themselves at 27 for 3 in just 6.3 overs, with Pakistan's captain Shaheen Afridi taking two wickets and Mohammad Wasim Jr claiming one before rain interrupted play.
