Following India's groundbreaking victory against England in the one-off Test at the prestigious Lord's Cricket Ground on July 13, an ecstatic Harmanpreet Kaur expressed her desire to participate in ten more Test matches. Chasing a daunting target of 457, England was dismissed for just 186 runs on the final day, with India sealing the win in the first session after needing four more wickets.
In her post-match remarks, Harmanpreet praised her teammates and the support staff for their contributions to this historic achievement. She highlighted the exceptional performance of the openers, stating, "Their batting in the first innings was a joy to witness. It’s all about teamwork." She also acknowledged the invaluable insights from the support staff, particularly Amol, who have extensive Test experience. "Playing at Lord's is always a privilege, and I hope we can host more matches here. We aspire to play ten more Tests and continue our strong performances," she added.
India batted first, scoring 285 runs, with Smriti Mandhana narrowly missing a century at 83 runs. Both Harmanpreet and Deepti Sharma contributed vital half-centuries. In England's first innings, they were bowled out for a mere 170, giving India a 115-run lead. In their second innings, Yastika Bhatia scored a century, and Mandhana added another half-century, leading India to a total of 341. Richa Ghosh also made an impressive contribution with an unbeaten 50 off 52 balls. Ultimately, India bowled out England for 186, clinching the match by a significant margin of 270 runs.

Yastika Bhatia and Kranti Gaud made history by entering the Lord's Honours Boards due to their outstanding performances.
