Exciting Armwrestling Championship in Palwal

The Haryana State Armwrestling Championship 2026 took place on March 30 at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium in Palwal, attracting over 250 competitors from across the state. This event highlighted the strength and skill of armwrestling athletes.


Gaurav Gautam, the Sports Minister of Haryana, was the Chief Guest at the event, emphasizing the state's commitment to promoting emerging sports like armwrestling.


The championship featured thrilling contests across various weight classes, showcasing remarkable performances. Notably, Satnam Singh, a star from the Pro Panja League, dominated the 90 kg category and was named Champion of Champions in the senior men's division.


Satnam triumphed over Davinder Singh Kandola, the winner of the 100 kg category, Attar Singh, who took the 110 kg+ title, and Anil Sharma, the 85 kg champion, to secure his prestigious accolade.


In the youth category, Anil Sharma also emerged as Champion of Champions, highlighting the Pro Panja League's role in fostering young talent.


Other notable results included Sikander Singh Bajwa winning the 70 kg category, Mohit Kumar in the 80 kg category, Anil Sharma in the 85 kg division, Davinder Singh Kandola in the 100 kg category, and Attar Singh in the 110 kg+ category.


Parvinn Dabass, Co-Founder of the Pro Panja League, expressed gratitude for the support from Gaurav Gautam and praised Haryana's rich tradition in strength sports, noting the event's success in showcasing local talent.
