Harry Kane's Historic Achievement

London [UK], October 27: Harry Kane, the renowned footballer from England and Bayern Munich, has expressed his joy at receiving his inaugural Ballon d'Or award. He mentioned that he is "still absorbing the moment" and enjoys "working quietly while letting his performance shine on the field."

With this accolade, Kane becomes the first English player to secure the Ballon d'Or since Michael Owen in 2001, triumphing over notable contenders like Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal. His remarkable season included 73 goals and eight assists, contributing to a total of 81 goal involvements. Kane played a pivotal role in Bayern Munich's success, helping the team clinch the Bundesliga, German Cup, and German Super Cup. This award marks a significant milestone for a player long regarded as one of the best in the world.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Kane remarked, "It sounds surreal, but it feels fantastic. What a memorable evening, an incredible sensation. I'm still trying to process it all, but it truly feels like a dream."

Reflecting on the anticipation leading up to the announcement of the winner, Kane shared, "The emotions were a mix of relief, joy, and excitement. The wait to discover the winner was nerve-wracking, and experiencing that relief while sharing the moment with everyone in the theater was truly special."

After his victory, Kane took to social media to share a motivational quote: "Work hard in silence. Let success be your noise."

Looking back on his football journey, which included loan spells at lower-tier clubs and a lengthy, trophyless period with Tottenham Hotspur, Kane expressed, "This quote has been a guiding principle throughout my career. It encapsulates my journey. I prefer to put in the effort behind the scenes, as those moments when no one is watching are often the best for growth. Letting everything unfold on the pitch is the ultimate proof of that, and winning this award is a testament to it."

Kane's prestigious title follows a dominant season in the Bundesliga, where he netted 36 goals in 31 matches, leading Bayern Munich to the 2025-26 German league title. Although Bayern was eliminated in the UEFA Champions League semifinals by Paris Saint-Germain, Kane still managed to score 14 goals in 13 matches, including goals in both legs against Real Madrid and PSG.

As the captain of the England national team, Kane also contributed six goals and an assist during the 2026 World Cup, helping the Three Lions secure a third-place finish.
