Diamond Harbour FC Triumphs in IFL Match

Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], April 11 – In an exciting encounter at the Kalyani Stadium, Diamond Harbour FC claimed a 3-1 victory against Chanmari FC in the Indian Football League (IFL) 2025-26 on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Halicharan Narzary made a significant impact by scoring two quick goals within two minutes during the second half.

This win marked Diamond Harbour FC's seventh consecutive match without defeat, allowing them to maintain a five-point lead at the top of the league table. Although Chanmari FC initially took the lead, they could not sustain their advantage. Narzary was named Player of the Match, according to an IFL announcement.

Head coach Kibu Vicuna of Diamond Harbour FC made three adjustments to his starting lineup, introducing Hugo Diaz, Robilal Mandi, and Melroy Melwin Assisi.

On the other hand, Chanmari FC's coach Dipankur Sharma opted to keep the same starting XI from their previous match against Real Kashmir FC.

The hosts' efforts paid off in the 73rd minute when a cross from Halicharan Narzary led to an own goal by Marlon, leveling the score.

Diamond Harbour FC ramped up their pressure, with an Antony Moyano free-kick being tipped over by the goalkeeper and a header cleared off the line by Jota.

The home team took the lead in the 81st minute when Halicharan intercepted a misplaced pass from Papuia and scored during a swift counter-attack, despite a deflection from Lalruatdika.

Just two minutes later, Halicharan struck again, skillfully placing the ball past the diving goalkeeper to double the lead. Tharpuia provided an excellent assist, and Halicharan's clinical finish gave Diamond Harbour a comfortable two-goal advantage.
